Happy-C! Fun-C! I’m Lady C! Even though we’ve entered October this year, there are still some hot days, and it’s hardly getting bree-C at all, is it… I’ve been spending my days living in fear, wondering when the pollen season is going to start.

Last time, I shared a stori-C about being on tour. This time, it’s an everyday stori-C.

I often get asked questions like, “With all the eating out while on tour, how do you manage your weight?” and “How do you relieve stress?” Today, I’m going to answer those!!!

Like I mentioned last time, Lady tries to eat the local specialties as much as possible, so I do eat out a lot during tours. However, when I’m not touring, I almost never eat out. I spend my time cooking for myself, so I actually eat without worrying too much about my meals! My basics are multi-grain rice, salmon, a salad, and a soup like miso soup. From there, depending on my nutritional balance, I’ll add an egg, throw in some pork, or eat some fruit!

I eat fruit almost every single day! My family had a habit of eating a lot of fruit back home, so that habit stuck with me even after I started living alone. I usually stick to seasonal fruits, so lately it’s been pears, figs, and persimmons… So delicious, right~?!

Also, because I have the type of body that gains weight from fats, I hold back on bread! I almost never buy bread myself, so when I really want some, I bake things like rice-flour bread or bagels. The truth is, I absolutely love bread too! But I know I’ll end up eating too much of it, so I consciously try to moderate myself.

Beyond that, if my body is feeling a bit heavy, I’ll go for a run, and I adjust things by working hard at my weekly personal training and practice sessions. Honestly, though, it might just be that I’ve originally always had a body type that doesn’t put on weight easily.

I’ve written about this before, but prior to my debut, I was 177cm and 58kg. I was super skinny with my ribs sticking out, so I originally had a very slender build. You often hear people say things like, “In pro-wrestling, it’s better to have some fat on you,” and that is absolutely true! Back when I was super skinny, taking bumps would rattle my internal organs, and I’d constantly get the wind knocked out of me—it was really painful! But since gaining weight, taking bumps has gotten so much easier. My current weight is stable around 72 to 74kg with almost no fluctuation! I love my current body shape the most!

So, long story short, Lady’s weight management method doesn’t involve anything special—it’s just my everyday lifestyle… I guess?!

And now, for the number two most asked question: my stress relief method… It’s “Chihuahua Huffing”!

I huff my family’s Chihuahua, Maro-shan, back at my parents’ house. Every month, I go back home to Chiba just to see Maro.

As many of you probably already know, he is ridiculously cute. He’s a white long-coat Chihuahua, and his fur is incredibly fluffy. Because he’s white and fluffy like a marshmallow, his real name is Marshmallow-kun. His nickname is Maro. At home, everyone calls him “Maro-shaaaaan!” Lol.

Every time I go home, Maro makes a huge fuss, gets so excited, and licks my entire face like crazy. Then, with my face completely covered in dog drool, I bury it into Maro’s fur and inhale deeply. My whole face gets covered in shed fur. Even my black clothes turn white from all the shedding. …It’s the absolute best…

This is Chihuahua huffing. The scent is completely different depending on where you huff, so you have to sniff them out carefully. The area around his paw pads smells like popcorn, which is extremely cute.

I’ll attach a picture of Maro-shan here! If I could attach videos, I’d love to show off the little tricks done by my lil’ jenius Maro-shan, but since I can’t do that here, please try searching for them on X…

Aside from that, I regularly go to see musicals. By myself.

I’ve been obsessed with musicals since I was a university student, starting with the Shiki Theatre Company and branching out to watch all sorts of different productions. Sometimes I even travel to away-shows just to see a play, or watch the exact same production multiple times.

Wicked, Les Misérables, and Miss Saigon are among my absolute favorites. I love Les Mis so much that I even made it the subject of my university graduation thesis.

I really want myu-ota friends, but if they don’t share the exact same level of passion for musicals, it’s hard to truly relate to each other on a lot of things, so I just go watch plays alone.

I want friends, though.

If I had a friend I could passionately chat with after a show, maybe it would relieve even more stress, but I get to have everyone on social media listen to my thoughts, so it’s moumantai!

Chihuahuas and musicals are Lady’s mental stabilizers!

If there’s anything else you want to ask me, leave a comment on X or something! Next week’s plan is a stori-C about the Lady-style method of enjoying life! See you next week!

Lady’s Top Choi-C of the Week! The Musical: Tamiou! The musical I watched most recently! Tamiou, based on the original work by Jun Ikeido which was also adapted into a TV drama! Believe it or not, it’s been turned into a musical.

Since my oshi is playing the lead, I went to see it without even knowing the story, but it was really good! It was so funny that I couldn’t help but chuckle, and I even made eye contact with my oshi—it was absolutely the best! I’ve mostly watched musicals originating from overseas, but Japanese musicals are amazing too.

The Tokyo performances have ended, but they’re still playing in Osaka and Hakata, so if you’re interested, definitely go check it out!!!

Translator’s Notes

  • The “C” Puns: In Japanese, the letter “C” is pronounced exactly like the syllable “shi” (し). Lady C frequently replaces words ending in “shi” with her namesake letter. In the original text, she uses Ure-C (Happy), Tano-C (Fun), Hanashi-C (Story/Talk), Suzushi-C (Cool/Breezy), and Ichi-oshi-C (Top pick). These have been localized as “Happy-C,” “Fun-C,” “Stori-C,” “bree-C,” and “Choi-C” to maintain the playful, rhythmic cadence of her writing.
  • Third-Person Pronouns: In Japanese idol and joshi puroresu culture, it is common and considered endearing for performers to refer to themselves in the third person. This translation retains Lady C referring to herself as “Lady” to preserve her authentic, bubbly voice.
  • Chihuahua Huffing (チワワ吸い / Chihuahua-sui): A play on the internet slang term Neko-sui (Cat huffing/sniffing), which describes the act of affectionately burying one’s face into a pet’s fur and taking a deep breath to smell them.
  • Jenius (てんしゃい / Tenshai): Lady C uses baby talk here, modifying the word tensai (genius). This has been localized to “jenius.”
  • Shiki Theatre Company (劇団四季 / Gekidan Shiki): One of Japan’s largest and most prestigious theater companies, famous for staging localized versions of major Broadway hits alongside original productions.
  • Myu-ota (ミュオタ): A portmanteau of “Musical” and “Otaku.” A colloquial term for theater geeks or super-fans of musicals.
  • Moumantai (無問題): A Japanese loanword originally from Cantonese meaning “No problem.” Used casually here to brush off her lack of theater friends.
  • Oshi (推し): A prevalent term originating from idol/otaku culture referring to one’s absolute favorite group member, character, or in this context, actor.
