All matches have been announced by Shinobu Kandori for the LLPW-X event celebrating her 40th anniversary, taking place on November 2 at Kanadebia Hall in Tokyo. The finalized lineup reflects adjustments made following the prolonged absence of originally scheduled participant Miku Kano. LINA, who was slated to team with Kano, also shared her current state of mind and enthusiasm for the upcoming event.

Shinobu Kandori: “It’s incredibly unfortunate that Miku Kano will be out of action long-term, and it does leave us wondering how to proceed moving forward,” Kandori said. “While she’s resting, it’s a test of how much LINA can step up. It took a while to decide on LINA’s partner for November 2, but we’ve finally settled on one: Miyuki Takase. She has competed for us quite a bit in the past, so she’s very familiar to us, and when I asked her, she gave me an immediate ‘yes.’ I think this will be an interesting, entirely different kind of tag team compared to MikuLina.

(On finalizing the full card)

“Since this is my 40th anniversary, I wanted a broad spectrum—bringing together everyone from seasoned veterans to young rookies. It’s going to be a fun show if every generation can really showcase what they bring to the table.”

LINA: “With Miku out long-term right as we were getting ‘MikuLina’ off the ground, there is definitely a sense of disappointment,” LINA admitted. “But this is the path Miku decided on, so I believe without a doubt that she’ll return. For now, I just want to focus on what I can do. I think Takase was on the opposing team during the very first match Miku and I teamed up for, before we officially formed MikuLina. I’ve faced Takase across the ring quite a few times, and the only time we’ve teamed together was last year at Kanda Myojin Shrine—it was just the three of us: Kandori-san, myself, and Takase.

“We’ll be fighting side-by-side this time, and whether she was a freelancer or where she is now, she has always stayed completely true to the essence of ‘Miyuki Takase’. For my part, I am LINA of LLPW-X. I’ll always carry the weight of that responsibility into battle, but beyond that, I want to firmly establish my own identity as LINA. I need to elevate myself so that when Miku comes back, we can be a tag team that everyone is excited to watch.”

(On her opponents) “Looking at the lineup for my match, you could say we’ve got some very strong personalities—it’s a card packed with a diverse mix of wrestlers. Even amidst all that, I don’t want to be overshadowed, not even by the sheer presence of my own tag partner, Takase. I want to put myself out there to the fullest.”

(On facing Hanako Nakamori, who uses similar kicks, and Misa Kagura, who was Kano’s opponent when she was injured) “That’s true. We were originally scheduled to wrestle as a tag team for MikuLina, but it ended up becoming a 3-Way match, and so on. Misa has a very cute look, but her wrestling style is aggressive and rugged, so I definitely don’t want to lose out to her in that regard either. After the match the other day, she came at me, and I never back down from a fight, so I want to go out there and crush her. As for Nakamori, she stood next to me during my crucial moments—my re-debut match and my 2nd anniversary. Now that I’m facing her as LINA (after changing my ring name), I want to show Hanako exactly how much I’ve evolved from my past self.”

Translator’s Notes

  • LINA / 里奈: The kanji (里奈) is typically read simply as “Rina” in standard translation, but per LLPW-X’s official roster stylization, it is localized into English as the all-caps “LINA”. LINA’s quote at the end references a ring name change and a “re-debut,” which highlights her transition to this new, singular identity.
  • MikuLina (ミクリナ): A portmanteau of Miku Kano and LINA. It is standard practice in joshi puroresu to smash two wrestlers’ names together to create an unofficial (and eventually official) tag team moniker.
  • Kanadebia: Refers to the Tokyo Dome City Mitsui Fudosan Kanadebia Hall (formerly known as Tokyo Dome City Hall). Japanese wrestling media often shortens these lengthy corporate naming rights to a single recognizable word.
  • Kanda Myojin Shrine (神田明神): A historic Shinto shrine in Chiyoda, Tokyo, that frequently hosts special, outdoor, or cultural professional wrestling events (particularly for promotions like LLPW-X and DDT).
  • “I never back down from a fight” (売られた喧嘩は絶対買うので): A Japanese idiom that literally translates to “I will absolutely buy any fight that is sold to me.” In English fighting parlance, this is best localized as “never backing down from a fight” or “finishing what someone else starts.”
