Sidelined Senka Akatsuki Gives the Opening Address
Sidelined wrestler Senka Akatsuki gave the opening address.
Senka: “Thank you all for coming out today! When I return, I promise to come back to the ring in perfect condition, so please continue to support me! The wrestlers are incredibly fired up, and our main event features Mio’s West Coast title match. I might be out of action today, but let’s make some noise. Hit me with a ‘Senka’ call, please! (The crowd chants ‘Senka’) From the first match all the way to the main event, thank you for your support!”
1. 20-Minute Time Limit: Chikayo Nagashima & Echika Miyabi vs. Ai Houzan ● & Yura Suzuki
◯ Chikayo Nagashima & Echika Miyabi (13:55, Udegatame) Ai Houzan ● & Yura Suzuki
Yura asked for a handshake with a polite “Please!”, but Echika immediately overpowered her grip. All four women jumped in, leading to a chaotic brawl on the outside. Intimidating her opponents with a whistle, Echika delivered a double chop to Yura’s back.
Nagashima brought a plastic umbrella into the ring, striking Yura before choking her with it. Echika joined in with hair-pulling, prompting Referee Tommy to scold them (?) by asking, “What’s wrong with you!? Why are you doing such bad things!”
Yura found herself isolated but fought back with a body slam on Nagashima. Houzan tagged in and hit a flurry of dropkicks, but Nagashima caught her in a hanging cross armbreaker.
Echika went for her Fireball Chop, but Houzan desperately kept dodging it. Yura landed a high kick, followed by Houzan’s low dropkick. Yura tagged back in and unleashed a barrage of middle kicks.
Echika hit a brainbuster, but Yura retaliated against Nagashima with a superkick and a knee attack. Houzan followed up with a missile dropkick, only for Nagashima to answer with a double foot stomp. Nagashima and Echika then cornered Houzan with a train attack.
Houzan bridged into a Northern Lights Suplex Hold, but Nagashima countered into an ankle hold until Yura made the save. Echika set Houzan up, allowing Nagashima to hit a diving double foot stomp, but it only netted a two-count.
Nagashima held Houzan in a full nelson to set up Echika’s Fireball Chop, but Houzan ducked, causing Echika to blast Nagashima instead. In the end, Nagashima recovered, nailing Houzan with a backfist before locking in an armbar (Udegatame) to force the tap out.
2. 3-Way Match (15-Minute Time Limit): VENY vs. Maria vs. RIKO
◯ VENY (9:47, Pinfall) Maria ● Winning Move: Moonsault Press. The third participant was RIKO.
RIKO went for a Lionsault, but VENY dodged and landed a front high kick. The members of Magenta attempted a double-team attack, but VENY forced a miscommunication, causing them to collide. VENY capitalized with a rocket kick.
Maria locked RIKO in a surfboard stretch and kicked her away. VENY hit RIKO with a missile dropkick, but Maria followed up with a dropkick of her own for a two-count.
Maria locked in the Mariannu, but as they tangled, RIKO rolled both of them up. Suddenly, RIKO called for a “Maria Double!”, and the two hit VENY with double superkicks.
VENY hurled both of them away and blasted Maria with a superkick. RIKO then removed the turnbuckle pad and mercilessly battered VENY with it. She followed it up with an “Acchi Muite Hoi” game into a hard slap.
Maria also grabbed the turnbuckle pad to strike VENY, leading to a combined triangle kick. The Magenta members then traded roll-ups with each other. Maria executed a drop toe hold, while VENY responded with an upkick into a front high kick.
VENY aimed for a moonsault to the outside, but Maria caught her with a deadly drive and a rocket kick for a near fall. VENY then paused to gather herself before planting Maria with a brutal Michinoku Driver II, following it up with a Moonsault Press to secure the three-count.
3. 20-Minute Time Limit: Yosuke Santa Maria & Mika Iwata vs. Takumi Iroha & Sora Ayame
Yosuke Santa Maria & ◯ Mika Iwata (16:38, Pinfall) Takumi Iroha & Sora Ayame ● Winning Move: Raion
Yosuke and Ayame started things off, with Ayame immediately launching shin kicks. She then tripped Yosuke and hit a low dropkick. Yosuke and Iwata seemingly got into an argument over a tag…? Iwata entered and delivered a soccer ball kick to Ayame.
Yosuke hit a hair whip, but Ayame dodged a charging attack, caught Yosuke in a roll-up, and followed with a dropkick. Iroha came in with middle kicks to Yosuke, hitting a combination of kicks on both opponents before sweeping the leg with a Minamo-geri.
Yosuke rushed in for a kiss, but Iroha defended herself with a slap. Yosuke tried again from above, but Iroha countered with a knee strike into a brainbuster for a two-count.
Yosuke threw a soft-touch chop, which Iroha met with a merciless elbow. Yosuke fired back with a counter dropkick. Iroha and Iwata then engaged in a striking battle, with Iroha kicking Iwata square in the chest.
Iwata returned fire with middle kicks, and the two exchanged strikes while grinning at each other. Iroha unleashed three sharp middle kicks, and Iwata answered with four running corner middle kicks. Yosuke and Iwata then held hands while pinning both opponents in a bizarre formation.
Yosuke urged Iwata, “Let’s do it!”, prompting her to attempt a Pompas. As Iwata looked confused, the crowd chanted her name. Iwata finally resolved to do the Pompas, but Iroha slipped away and kicked her.
Ayame hit Iwata with a series of roll-ups, Iroha landed a rolling high kick, and Ayame followed with a rolling shin kick. Yosuke made the save. Yosuke then went for a kiss on Iroha, almost accidentally hitting Iwata instead, prompting Iwata to kick Yosuke away.
Ayame delivered a flurry of shin kicks, but Iwata responded with a high kick for a near fall. While Yosuke kept clinging to Iroha, Iwata planted Ayame with the Raion (a modified driver) to secure the three-count.
Despite constantly getting dragged into the chaos, Iwata touched foreheads with Iroha as a sign of respect before leaving the ring.
4. West Coast Women’s Championship Match (30-Minute Time Limit): Mio Momono vs. Leah Night
◯ Mio Momono (18:14, JK Bomb) Leah Night ● The 4th Champion makes her 3rd successful defense.
This Women’s Championship match saw Momono defend against West Coast’s Leah Night. Hailing from Washington with about three and a half years of experience, could Momono successfully defend her title in the main event?
Momono went on the offensive with a headlock and attempted an arm drag, but Leah held her ground. Momono transitioned into a headscissors whip and followed up with a low dropkick.
Leah fired back with running corner shoulder tackles and a knee strike. She gorilla press slammed Momono, but only got a two-count. Leah went for a running corner knee attack, but Momono dodged it and hit a rope-assisted stunner.
Momono climbed the turnbuckle, but Leah caught her with a bicycle kick from below, knocking her out of the ring. Momono retaliated with a low dropkick that sent Leah to the floor, then hit two consecutive planchas from the top rope to the outside.
Back in the ring, Momono hit a missile dropkick for a two-count. The two traded elbows before Leah hoisted Momono into an Argentine backbreaker rack. Momono escaped into a sleeper hold, but Leah answered with an enzuigiri.
Leah lifted her for a sit-out powerbomb. The two traded elbows on their knees, with Leah unleashing a flurry of strikes. She charged forward with a scream, but Momono caught her with a trailing dropkick.
Momono followed up with a springboard missile dropkick, but Leah immediately popped up with a kip-up and delivered a spear. Leah went for a running knee, but Momono evaded, hit an elbow, and launched her with a release German suplex.
After a spinning neckbreaker, Momono yelled “It’s over!” and hit a diving body press for a near fall. She attempted the JK Bomb after an elbow, but Leah escaped. Momono tried a series of roll-ups, but Leah caught her mid-casadora and slammed her with a sit-out powerbomb for a two-count.
Leah nailed a brutal running knee attack, but Momono kicked out at two. A double-arm spinning side slam also resulted in a two-count. Leah lifted her up in a BT Bomb setup, but Momono countered it directly into a JK Bomb.
Momono climbed the turnbuckle, but Leah revived and met her on the top rope. Momono executed an avalanche JK Bomb, followed by a standard JK Bomb, to get the three-count. Momono successfully defended her title for the third time. After the match, the two shook hands in a show of mutual respect.
Momono: “I’ve successfully defended this title for the third time. To be honest, this isn’t a Marvelous belt; it belongs to a San Francisco promotion called West Coast. Once I put this around my waist, I knew I wanted to wrestle international competitors. My first defense was against Jessy Jackson, my second was against Johnnie Robbie, and my third was against Leah. Wrestling these foreign athletes with ridiculously big butts, their power is just off the charts, isn’t it? But I really wanted this opportunity, and I’m so happy I can have these title defenses in Japan. Leah might look tough, but she’s only 22, right? There used to be a lot of foreign wrestlers in Japan at one point, but right now she’s the only one, and I imagine that can feel really lonely. But I volunteered for this title match hoping to leave her with something meaningful from that experience. I’m really glad we could have this match. This is your last match on this tour, do you have a message?”
Leah: “(In English) Thank you so much for having me in your country and letting me wrestle in front of all of you. This was a dream of mine. I’ve been wrestling for three years, and being able to come here is a huge deal to me. I had never left my own country before, and I’m only 22. All the women here are so kind and have been incredibly sweet to me. The Japanese culture and the people are so warm, and I love all of you. Thank you so very much.”
Momono: “I think… even without a translation, your feelings and energy came through perfectly! There’s just one thing that’s been bothering me, though. I know it must have been lonely being by yourself in Japan, but all through this blazing hot summer, you’ve been wearing mouton boots. Even during a rainy BBQ! So I was planning to give you some sandals as a gift, but I completely forgot until right this second. (wry smile)”
Leah: “Oh! Thank you!”
Momono: “Except I don’t actually have them with me. (wry smile) Everyone, please buy lots of her portraits and help her make some money! This was Leah’s final match of the tour! Momono: “I successfully made my third defense. Ever since I won this belt from Johnnie over in West Coast, I’ve wanted to defend it against foreign wrestlers here in Japan. I’m going back over there in November, so I want to make sure I hold onto the belt until then. But just sitting on it without defending it is the last thing I want to do. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who accepts my challenges, and I feel like we’re building real value for this championship. My opponents are always so much bigger than me—today’s was 175cm. The physical toll is intense, but I believe Mio Momono is someone who can overcome all of that. I want to elevate Marvelous in my own unique way.”
Leah: “Coming to Japan has truly been like a dream. Being able to main event a Marvelous show tonight against Mio, one of the best wrestlers in the world, has filled my heart. I may not have won the match, but for me, this feels like a victory. I love Mio, and I love Marvelous. And I love all the fans. I promise I will definitely come back. And next time, I absolutely will not lose. Thank you.”

- Udegatame: A straight armbar.
- Mariannu: Maria’s signature modified Cristo (a headscissors armbar variation).
- Acchi Muite Hoi: Translated here as the “Look That Way” game. It is a traditional Japanese game often played immediately after rock-paper-scissors, where the winner points in a direction and the loser must try not to look in that same direction.
- Minamo-geri: Literally “water surface kick.” A spinning leg sweep usually aimed at the opponent’s ankles or calves.
- Pompas: Also known as the Bamiyan Stomp, a comedic diving stomp maneuver utilized by Yosuke Santa Maria.
